Zen Shiatsu is a Japanese form of full body therapy which involves acupressure and physical therapy-like stretches. A diagnosis is made by sensing excessive and deficient energy in the 'hara' or abdominal area. From there, accupressure points on the meridians (energy pathways) in the body are treated and Chi (life energy) is balanced. This brings opportunity for good health to the body and a feeling of deep relaxation.
The client stays fully dressed in loose comfortable clothing during the session. NOTE: A modified version of Shiatsu is done at Still Point on a regular massage table and not what is typically on the floor mat.
